Last week I turned in my resignation after working 10 great years at Carolina Screen Printers to start my own business! Over the last several months I have begun learning to build websites and help small business owners get leads through the Internet. Consequently, I decided to use my new skills along with my graphic design talent and creativity to launch Soda City Sign Shop! I'm looking forward to the challenges ahead as an entrepreneur and small business owner, as well as the increased flexibility in my schedule and more time with my family & Disciple Christian Motorcycle Club. I've learned so much and I worked with so many great people over the years through CSP and I'm very grateful for the experience. It was an absolute privilege to work with the American Heart Association on some banners for their annual Heart Walk this year. What a great staff they have at the AHA Midlands office in the Cayce, West Columbia area. I even got to meet one of the volunteers who was featured on one of the banners as a Congenital Heart Survivor. She was thrilled with the way her banner turned out. It's always a little surreal to see yourself on a billboard, or advertisement. (We don't always get to meet the people we're printing on a big banner so that was super cool.) We were able to give them some excellent prices on stand up banners.  We love our city. We love the school that the city buzzes around. We're big Gamecock fans, but hey, we'll give credit where credit is due. Congratulations to Clemson on their big win. You deserved having a day of your Orange and White Clemson Flag flying proudly over the state house. But I gotta say it's not as easy on the eyes as ol' Garnet and Black University of South Carolina Palmetto Flag.
